The Feather shavette is used weekly to trim above the moustache, and works very well. I have performed a few one-pass face shaves with it and I can do it without drawing blood. Progress, but not very efficient yet. When I am ready to commit to single edge razors, I am ready. I have a Dovo and a Gold Dollar that will join the Feather. I am involved in a few pass-arounds here, and I am not ready to commit the first 100 shave to the SR. No hurry; it is a marathon, not a sprint. But I will get there in a few weeks, and am excited for the new challenge.
The Tatara razors are wonderful. With head & face shaving, I would really enjoy the convenience of an adjustable Muramasa. I switch out plates on my Yates 921 and Karve razors regularly, so doing the same with the Tatara Nodachi and Masamune top and bottom plates is really not a hardship. The Tatara may have exceeded the Karve for my preferences, but not the Yates so far.
I am enjoying following your experience with the Vector. I would love to try one, but the Tatara became available before I could spend the $ on a Vector.
