And worse, for me, is that in failing I gave myself permission to purchase "just a couple" of things I'd been thinking about. I have now made myself a new definition for the word "couple!" I am planning on being more restrained in February. And I did sell a couple of things (couple here being used in the traditional sense).

Yep, I failed for sure. That being said if I were to add the money SPENT in January versus the Money I recouped from sales, I'm actually ahead of the game. So while technically I failed in not purchasing anything, I'm at a positive cash flow from my failure Come to think of it there used to be a restraint that allowed for the method I have been doing but I can't remember what it was called back in the B&B days.........What's sad is the RARE 1901 razor that knocked me out was broken and returned for a refund...........

My January restraint lasted at least a full twenty-four hours, so I'll call this month a success! But after that day passed, I fell apart. I ordered about half a gallon of aftershaves, a hundred Tatra blades, six or seven Meißner Tremonia soaps, and a new razor (another Henson AL13 mild, this time in green because the silver, blue, and black version of this model – which I already own – were getting lonely). I didn't buy any brushes though! So give me partial credit.
And sign me up for February's restraint. I'll be shooting for a full forty-eight hours of purchase-free bliss.

I'll join you in Feb for at least 48 hours too. Hey we're heading in the right direction

Does that include the Stihl? Too bad about the broken razor. Good that you got a refund, although it would have been better if seller had been up front about the condition. Did he think you wouldn't notice?

Yeah, they may not have known. Some sell stuff they don't know what it is. But I open a case and they don't respond at all during the week wait period for them too before the next step. Then I escalate to ebay and they wait again with no response. Then eBay decided in my favor. You can't ignore it when a case is opened against you..........Crazy people................NO the Stihl didn't count and I LOVE it
