Got a notice past night that Karve was releasing a batch of the Overlander. I really wanted to try this razor, so I jumped on a few minutes ago (release is 11am EST) and grabbed one.

It was worth it... I hope.

Haha. Just kidding Paul. Hope you love the new Overlander. Sure looks like a cool razor!
It absolutely does. The reviews surely make it sound right up my alley. Very little blade feel, easy going daily driver with good performance. It's been likened to the feel of their CB razor in a B plate, with the efficiency of the D plate.

The release could have been a little later and I would have been happier. First, I'd have been able to finish January. Secondly, I was considering selling my Titanium Henson. If I had decided to go that route, it would have funded the Overlander.

Ooh well. Can't win them all. Lol. I'm just glad I snagged one. They were darn quickly sold out in the first batch.

Its an absolutely fantastic razor.  It is so smooth, you hardly feel the blade. To me its like a B plate in smoothness, smoother than a B plate imo and efficiency is D plate. Angle is super easy to find and its just a pleasure to use. Unfortunately I’m going through a high blade feel phase right now, I don’t know why as I preferred more mild razors in the past.

The best part of the Overlander is the blade clamping. Wow! It shaves as smooth as my Blutt 1.20 and as efficient. These two razors shave very very similar. You will absolutely love it and I’m sure you will enjoy it.

Please give us a report when you receive it. Happy Shaves Smile

Is there room in the Box of Shame? There is an Overlander bound for Oakland, ME! I love the Christopher Bradley razor, and read much that was already stated above.

I don't need to formally participate in a DFR month. My restraint is automatic and self-adjusting, especially in these days of supply-chain breakdown. I keep a rotating wish list at a few sites, and only make a purchase when I can actually get each item, AND the cart total gets me free shipping.

The gimmick is that there's almost always one or two items that are currently out of stock. When I finally get the notification that an item is back in stock, then typically something else has become unavailable, so it could take months before I actually place an order.

This also gives me the opportunity to ditch an item in which I have lost interest, and substitute something with a higher priority.
