I think tomorrow when you get to 3...and the Wed #4 shave...you will have more to say. Between 2.5 to 4.5 is where this thing really shines, for me.
Good to know. Thanks and thanks for the compliment.

Rocnel Anchor...heheh.  Wonder how I didn't think of that?

It sounds like he likes it so far.  It will be interesting to see how he likes it when he opens it up some.

Thanks for the heads up on the video.

He is making great videos. Honest reviews and I like he is talking only about the shave.
Looking forward to watch his next video with higher setting.

I rarely watch shave videos. Like, almost never. Someone sent me a link to his B12 video. Like you, I appreciate straight shave speak. I'm not one to be preached to, in general. I've become adept at avoiding the noise.

John and I have a common DFS friend who facilitated a trade of titanium Wolfmen. John finally nabbed a 145 and I sent him my 115. I thought no more about it until his 115Ti video popped up on my YouTube feed. I found it odd...then it dawned on me...that's my new friend! So, I offered to send him the Sailor for content....and what I now felt like would be an honest review of the product. I've left him alone with it. He figured out the cap orientation on his own and I assured him, Yes, You can actually use that giant gap.

I'm also interested to follow along as he opens it up. Hopefully, he will take his time with it.

Hi! Just wanted to confirm, there is no “official” Rocnell stands for the 2021 Sailor correct? Anyone got the inside scoop on if one is being made? The Rex Ambassador stand works if you are looking for a slightly less expensive option.

Stands will be available end of the year according to Murat

btw so much for the limited edition, I have number 109  Rolleyes

third shave, first one I used settings 4 and 5, second one setting one and today setting 2 for head and face.

1 is too mild for me, 2 is better. going to be disciplined and up the setting by one each following shave.

Too early to tell for sure but I like the 2020 a bit more (need more shaves and different blades to evaluate)

But very happy with the razor none the less

Bumped it up to setting 7 today. Still silky smooth but now hyper-efficient at this level...

I've just received mine as delivered by DHL from Turkey to Australia.  I have already shaved earlier today, so I'll have to wait day before giving it a go.

It arrived with a loaded feather blade, there is no internal rattling/loose parts as some others have reported.  It was held securely in the blue presentation case others have posted about.

In the hand, the 2021 Sailor feels very very nice, with similar dimensions to the Rex Ambassador I have, but with obviously more weight.  It sits nicely on the Rex stand in lieu of an official stand offering from Rocnel at this stage.  Another early impression, is the staggering level of quality in the finish and the overall beauty of the item from all angles. The variation in edge, angles, curves and surfaces will be appreciated by owners of high end SS Swiss watches like Omega Seamaster / Rolex Submariner.

I'm looking forward to getting it up and running for some shaves!

A bit surprised by John's second video, he finds stand 2 ok but 3 or 4 to aggressive for him. For me stand 4 is where the fun begins. But the 2020 is still my favourite razor.

I was kinda surprised too. He must really like milder razors and with a 1.05 and 1.15 as his favorites, that's probably accurate.

His first video said he used Kai because of glue dots. He didn't want to dirty the razor up, which I respect.

I did message him and tell him to pick his smoothest blade, forget about dirty, and try again. I like Kai, in milder razors. The added exposure is not necessary on a razor that has substantial gap, imo. Kai can be tuggy too.

I like using a milder blade yo tame a little bit on the gap. I am thinking this will smooth the razor out for John some.

Other thing I noticed was his brush. Very nice.
