How is the shipping from Turkey to Belgium? Is it a quick ship? Hoping you get it soon.

I'm going to be without mine for a bit. Shipped it out to a new friend for a review. Should be interesting to get some feedback from a YouTube'r. Could be a nightmare if he hates it tho.  He seems to be into titanium these days, although he was warned. Haha.

Last time it was 5 days (most of it was the hold up at customs).

Your friend is lucky to be able to try it without buying.

I have quite a lot of good stuff lying around in my den among them some amazing titanium razors and in the past I tried most of the adjustables out there and never kept one but guess what?  It has become very difficult for me, I plan on shaving for instance with my Paradigm Javelin or some other razor and most of the time it turns out like this: Nahh let's put that back down and go for the R2020  Big Grin

Can't believe that even fully open with such a big gap I still get very good shaves with no cuts or weepers. Most of the time I use settings between 3 and 6 for my daily head and face shaves. I always have shaved my face twice a day since I started 50 years ago but on that second shave there isn't much to do for the 2020 Rocnel. Of all my razors this one gives me the most hours of stubble free feeling.

So I'm very excited to try out the 2021. And yes my friends are going to tease me again" are you going to do renovations again with your new hammer?" If only they knew what this hammer is capable of!

Well I’d like to report the Rocnel on setting 7 didn’t just match the Ikon record it absolutely smashed it.. The shave lasted 16 hrs! The Ikons lasted 9 hrs.

I mean come on..16 hrs on two WTG passes. Unreal in my opinion. I’m thinking out loud here but imagine if I did WTG, XTG and ATG passes. Ive always categorized my BBS shaves either a Level 1, 2 and the ultimate, a Level 3 but I’m thinking could there be a level 4 out there? If so I think this razor could be the one to take me there.

Honestly you’ve asked me twice now rawfox1 Andrew so here’s my answer, yes I can now say it with confidence that the Sailor is now # 1 in my den.
It’s kind of like having a good sized collection of various different razors in just one razor it’s that good in my opinion.

I don’t know if Murat checks this thread but if he does I’d like to say to him “ sir you made a masterpiece of a razor IMHO. So thank you!

Ok I’ll shut up now!
I think at setting 5 the Sailor cuts closer than anything ive ever tried, including that Ikon. And you can run the Sailor as high a double dot! Ive not tried the '21 that high, yet, but I have the '20.

Despite its weight and scale, the Sailor is a spectacular shaver. Easy to replace an entire den of WR2s with one very sexy Sailor and have more headroom above a 165 than any man should use. And save yourself the trouble of identifying your Goldilocks gap. No fear, the Sailor assuredly has your gap.

I'm just glad some of you guys are finally aboard ship. Seems like the deck on the '20 model was much smaller and I didnt think the razor could get any better...but danged if it didn't.

The 2020 and 2021 are the best 2 razors in my den and at $500, the 21 is a steal.

I just want a Ti version in either configuration and would likely be willing to hand Murat a fat stack to get one.

It has been more fun for me to play with and collect Sailors than my Wolf den...and that was insanely fun to do.

I know people have thought I was a shill to hype Rocnel products but the performance easily matches my enthusiasm, I think.

They are shockingly good, imo. The tinkering with the dial could keep a man busy for quite a whole. Especially if you have an irregular shave schedule.

Just for the heck of it as you know I’m the curious type I did a quick side by side 2 pass WTG & XTG pass ( minimal skin stretching) and your spot on. On 5 the Sailor is more efficient than the Ikon. I’m at 9 hrs since the Shave Off and I’m starting to feel a tiny bit of stubble here and there where I used the Ikon but the areas where I used the 2021 the hairs have not shown up yet. I think I have a bromance with this razor so yeah I’m more than on board! Lol

I don’t have the 1.65 but do have the 1.55 SB Ti and to me this razor on this setting 5 is more efficient and for me has smoother face feel than the Wolfe.

I’m curious. Remember back when we both got the 2017 with the fly across the room injector feature and we both ended up selling them. Now that it’s back in your den/ collection how’s the shave with the 2017 after all this time?

I tried pretty hard to eat healthy without very much red meat and keep the carbohydrates in check though for real.

For all the old people out there, excuse me, for all the people of age out there, I'll share my method for adjusting the Sailor. Start with the razor tightened down all the way. Hold the razor by the adjustment knob and twist the razor while keeping the knob still. Twisting 90 degrees gets you to ii, 180 degrees gets you just past iii, 270 degrees is iv.v, and of course 360 degrees is back to dot. No readers necessary.

Waiting for Jitterbug to make an adjustable.

Glad you are digging the 21. These things have been a fascination for me for a long time.

Did I read earlier this has already become your favorite? It replace the frenchie froo froo?

Does anyone else agree the 21 is like an infinitely adjustable WR2? To me that's the best analogy I could come up with. Comparing results, the 21 can cut as low as a 95 and far exceed a 165 all while being just as smooth.

As to the 17, I am almost embarrassed to admit, I have not even used it since it came back to my den. I have a difficult time not using the 20 or 21 Sailor. Then, when I don't, I've got a wall full of Wolfies that need attention. The 17 was more to collect than use. I really need to get it out and us it tho.

2017 memory test. So, in late 17 Murat announced the Sailor series on IG with the attached photo. It had the brass band you and I coveted.

I think Phil at Bullgoose took orders on them and we were both a little miffed when we actually got the Eject model in early 2018....or we just saw pics of the other attached and ordered anyway not knowing which we were getting.

I can't recall the specifics around that model. Do you?
