I received my Sailor 2021 two weeks ago and I have used it exclusively.  I sold several razors to get one, and it was worth it.  It shaves as well as my go to razors, providing a consistent shave every time.  I did ditch the pre-loaded feather (which caused problems the first shave) in favour of a Gillette Blue and all is well.  I sold my stable of high end razors (Wolfman, Paradigm, Timeless, etc) so this is it for high end...for now.  So...was/is it worth the high price?  For me it was easily worth the 4 razors I sold and easily shaves better than any Wolfman I owned.  This is not a slight on Wolfman, but an ovation for the sailor as I sat out the first 3 version and got a gem.  I dont usually gravitate to adjustables since I only really use one setting,  but for this razor, I have made the exception.

Hope this helps for anyone sitting on the fence.  I have not tried the Taiga or the Tatara adjustable but all others I have owned and sold.  The Sailor stays in the shave Den.

Special thanks to LOOT for answering my questions!

Glad you are loving it! Once Murat makes a titanium version and I get that one to add to my Sailor collection, I think I will be completely done buying razors……I think!!

Murat made a cool favor and I got the one with gold ring.
The white ring one is going to be my father's day gift. Hope he will enjoy.

Fancy razor Cem! Nice father day gift, wow.
I'm sure if i brought a snazzy gold embedded razor in, my wife would have wanted to know all about it and especially the cost.
My sweet wife didn't ask about the cost of mine,, don't tell her either.

Wow, very nice!

I wonder how many were produced with the gold ring?

Jervis...you are more than welcome, sir. I am so glad you took a liking to the Sailor. Based on the chats we had, I am not surprised. This one sounded like it was right up your alley. Congrats on the keeper...and the thinning of the den.

Whoa! Very nice. I like the gold band. It looks even better with the tapered adjustment dial. Well done! And your dad is a lucky man. I hope he enjoys it in good health for many years.

Thanks for the kind words, G.  It has been fun watching your lack of brush self control from the inside.  I commend your eternal optimism in returning to "normal".  You know there is a word for guys like you? Hahaha!
