Thanks for the kind words Matt and Bill. Bill, to be honest, the scent is just not me. Also (and this is going to sound ridiculous) I don't want to use it up. It was my dad's so I'd rather just open the top and take a sniff periodically. That's enough to bring back some fine memories. :D

Not ridiculous at all, my friend!

I understand your reasoning, but I think you and I are of similar "vintage" :rotflol: I was thinking that If I used the contents of that bottle once a year, there would be enough there for the rest of my life...

To tell the truth, Iffin I'd known I was gonna' live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself

This a continuation of my original post. I cleaned out two more cubby holes to make room for the shaving goodies I brought back from Scotland and Italy. When I got to the back of the shelves I was amazed to find some things that I didn't realize I still had, including that bloody awful Gillette Techmatic razor, still in excellent shape! It is so old that the tape that is on the back of the box is completely dry and brittle and that is not the original tape, which also dried out and became brittle! It was purchased while I still lived at home with my folks back in Brooklyn, New York and dates from around the mid-1960's. While I do not care for Brut, Aqua Velva, or Mennen, I did purchase the Brut (a bazillion years ago). I believe the mini bottles of Aqua Velva came in a gift pack as did the Mennen. I'm pretty sure they were Christmas or end of the school year gifts from students early on in my teaching career. Anyway, it was fun to take another walk down memory lane. :D

Good. Lime menthol combo is my favorite in the summertime.

Yeah, but it's at least 35 year old Aqua Velva. Is it still even made? Since I am not a fan of AV, I've never paid attention when in a shop that would sell it.

The OS in my bathroom cabinet was purchased new by me. I've never been a big user of fragrances, but lately I've been enjoying the OS and Aqua Velva products I bought and used lightly over the decades. The Fresh Scent and OS Aftershave were getting low so I was able to buy new old stock backups. SWMBO still likes them on me. As far as new stuff, Domenico Caracini 1913, T&H Trafalgar, Floris 89, Alt Innsbruck, etc., and some of the other stuff, I'm putting those on my wish list for whenever the kids and grandkids want some gift ideas. Those are much more expensive than the old stuff, even now.
