Thank you very much , Bruce , for the pics and the explanation.I knew I wasnt that crazy when I felt that this shavemac silvertip two band was like the old blonde badger hair.

This is a fantastic deal. I have 2 custom brushes from Bernd, and they're wonderful. These will be fantastic brushes. I'd go for one myself, but I already have a Chief. It sounds like it's similar to these Shavemacs.

Congrats to everyone who buys one of these. I doubt you'll regret it.

I have 2 of the Shavemac two bands and might have to jump on this. The 386 to Bruce's left in the photo is a really nice handle. Thanks for the pics Bruce...these are wonderful knots!

Great offering and thanks for sharing! It's outside of my preferences, but I hope everyone enjoys their brushes. Smile

Awesome photos, Bruce. What are the dimensions of that Shavemac?

It comes in around 25.5-26 / 50-51 (give or take 0.5mm). I believe it is listed as 24/50 this one (I bought 2nd hand), but Shavemacs always seem to come in 1-2mm bigger at opening.

All evidence has been buried, all tapes have been erased.

Just got my order in as well... I really wanted a fan but kept going back to the loft and stuck with a bulb at 23mm x 52mm. Thanks again Teiste for including the DFS community in the group buy. These 2-band silvertip knots from Shavemac are special and this is a great deal!

PS from my experience @Bruce is spot on; Shavemac knots of a nominal measurement [in this case 23mm] will typically have an effective size 1-2mm larger [24-25mm]

In the interest of trying the bulb with a higher loft, I'm in.
Thanks for putting this together.
(I think I know who No.1 is!)
