I liked them well enough, but the price was just a bit excessive. Blue Gillette Plats were about as good for half the price.

Honestly, there are a few blades that I prefer. Gillette 7 O' Clock Super Platinum (Dark Blue) and Personna Medical Prep come immediately to mind.

Yeah, I could never justify the price. For me they helped tame some of the harsher razors for me (my Old and New Improved), but frankly I haven't shaved with them in so long. I just don't see the point in shaving with something that is so difficult to get a good shave out of, costs so much per blade to use, or only takes one certain blade (it used to be the Iridiums, then these newer Polsilvers that tamed the aggressive razors for me). And now that I'm moving on to straights, I haven't even picked up a DE in several weeks.

Well, I'm glad I used the few I got my hands on, but I never really felt the urge to invest in any more. I have 1-2 left ( along with 1 or 2 Iridiums ) that I'll save up for a rainy day shave.

It does sort of bother me that another blade choice is disappearing from the Russian blade manufacturers though ... it really explains why I see people hoarding blades. Maybe I should buy a bunch more Astra SPs just in case.

I'm still plowing through my stash of Gillette 7o'clock greens (super stainless and permasharp) I was never in a hurry to buy another stash of blades, especially blades that were on the top end of the price spectrum. The dark blues or the greens are good blades for me.

There are many blades just as good if not better then the Polsilvers. They will re-surface again after six months. A scheme to drive up prices.

The 'driving' of prices IMO is a side effect. I don't think this is a calculated move to drive prices. A lot of people like Andy seemed to really like these blades so its understandable that some might want to get the word out.

Is the poster in the original thread linked a vendor? Where is the vested interest? Just curious.

m3m0ryleak and slantman,

From my tweet and facebook links.

It is not my intention to drive sales. I have very little stock not even to sell the 50/100/250 packs. It was more for informational purposes for everyone to know situation.

I will be planning a Final Farewell for Posilver blades (10 packs) for those who didn't had the chance to use them. Just give me a little time to gather this up.
