| 10-05-2011 02:45 PM Something I've been lusting after for a long time! My friend Teiste provided the means for me to own it by posting it for sale at exactly the right time... It's exactly what I wanted! ![]() Better a diamond with a flaw than a polished pebble.... Bill Brown |

| 10-06-2011 01:43 PM These came today... Not sexy, very interesting or something I eager to dig into, but necessary nonetheless. I'm great at collecting... Organizing.. Not so much, so I bit the bullet and ordered boxes to store the coticules that didn't have boxes. I bought three boxes of the proper sizes. The open one is the new home of the select "la Grosse Blanche" I'd rather buy goodies, but I need to get organized also.. Better a diamond with a flaw than a polished pebble.... Bill Brown |
| 10-07-2011 11:03 AM Beautiful Bill ! I also admired that brush. Seems I waited a little too long to pull the trigger. - LOL ! Definitely a case of the early bird.... Enjoy ! Best, Andy. Wokeupgotoutofbeddraggedacombacrossmyheadfoundmywayupstairsandhadasmokeandsomebodyspokeandiwentintoadream. |
I picked up a Simpsons Astor (#45/90) this month. The gold of the lettering has faded some, so I've ordered some gold enamel paint to touch it up. Otherwise I think the brush looks great. John "Well, as long as the collar and cuffs match...." |
| 10-07-2011 01:27 PM Thanks Andy... You'd be amazed at the items I've missed... All part of the fun! Bide your time, and you'll do well also.. John, The word "great" does not adequately describe that Astor... Gorgeous!! Better a diamond with a flaw than a polished pebble.... Bill Brown |
| 10-07-2011 04:15 PM John, I love the look of that brush. It is striking. Use it in the best of health. Freddy |
Beautiful brush! I always did like that brush because the handle sets it apart from the atypical high end Simpson. I think a brush like that should have some character and that one has it in spades. I also have a fetish for tortoise and although that isn't tortoise, (it's horn, right?) I like it a lot! | 10-08-2011 03:10 AM Just lovely John ! The 90 th anniversary Simpson in faux horn - a perfect match for my EJ Chats. faux horn. - LOL ! Enjoy ! Best, Andy. Wokeupgotoutofbeddraggedacombacrossmyheadfoundmywayupstairsandhadasmokeandsomebodyspokeandiwentintoadream. |
