Something I've been lusting after for a long time!

My friend Teiste provided the means for me to own it by posting it for sale at exactly the right time...

It's exactly what I wanted!

These came today...

Not sexy, very interesting or something I eager to dig into, but necessary nonetheless. I'm great at collecting... Organizing.. Not so much, so I bit the bullet and ordered boxes to store the coticules that didn't have boxes.
I bought three boxes of the proper sizes. The open one is the new home of the select "la Grosse Blanche"

I'd rather buy goodies, but I need to get organized also..

Definitely a case of the early bird....

Enjoy ! Cheers

Best,
Andy.

I picked up a Simpsons Astor (#45/90) this month. The gold of the lettering has faded some, so I've ordered some gold enamel paint to touch it up. Otherwise I think the brush looks great.

Thanks Andy...

You'd be amazed at the items I've missed... All part of the fun! Bide your time, and you'll do well also..

John,

The word "great" does not adequately describe that Astor...

Gorgeous!!

Quite the record pace of acquisitions John. Do you order something every day?

No, Gary, I don't, although it may seem like it. I tend to buy in spurts, sort of on impulse, and then I'll wait awhile and "regroup" and reassess before buying again. But I always have a running list of certain items that I want and am looking for.

Beautiful brush! I always did like that brush because the handle sets it apart from the atypical high end Simpson. I think a brush like that should have some character and that one has it in spades. I also have a fetish for tortoise and although that isn't tortoise, (it's horn, right?) I like it a lot!
