Anybody in here use something beyond a product labeled 'aftershave' as a post shave product?

I'd throw witch hazel in there for me. I know Freddy likes to use talc powders as a step in his process. I was just curious what else others might use.

BTW ... I used some talc today. A lovely Imperial Leather Silk talc that Freddy sent me a sample of. It was a nice feeling, and reminded me of getting a haircut when I was a kid and the barber would always dust my neck after shaving it.

I use my own home brew based on EW's aftershave recipie. WH/aloe sunburn gel, and such. It works well and I can mix to the consistancy and scent I want it to be. I also use good quality body lotions. Penhaligon's BB scented body lotion, Taylor's of London Lavender, among others. Body lotions are usually lighter weight and less greasy than handcreams. I like to match scents and there is usually a body lotion available that matches my EdT choice for the day. Talc also is available in EdT matching scents and feels great on the skin.

Thayer's Alcohol Free Original Witch Hazel, or occasionally Thayer's Medicated Superhazel. I don't think Osage Rub is labeled as an aftershave, either, so I guess that counts?

The one I'm using that day. Rotflol All kidding aside, there are many good ones and I usually base what I use on its scent. However, for smoothness when applied I'd have to go with the Cussons Imperial Leather Silk and the Taylor of London Lavender. At 99p ($1.64) the Imperial Leather is a wonderful buy.

I liked the scent of the Imperial Leather bath soap, but damn did it irritate my skin! Burned like you wouldn't believe! Speick bath soap did, too, now that I think about it....

I have. I like it better cut with Witch Hazel with just a dash of Pinaud Clubman for scent.
