Took these pics a few months ago. These days I only take up one shelf in the bathroom, I've moved a lot of stuff into the bedroom cupboard which has much more room for expansion Big Grin .

I've got a few hones, cutthroats and vintage Gillette's that didn't make the photo shoot.

Top pic is a Tony Miller latigo strop and a Kent H8, I think.

Beautiful setup!

I'm jealous of anyone who has their stuff so well organized.

BTW, what are those two things next to your straights? One has a yellowish handle and the other has a black and gray handle.

Aha! a man with taste, I see the Brut hiding back there.

Very nice!

Thanks,

I like using carts and disposables on occasion. I can get a great shave with the bic or the mach3 but it's nice to use something that has been well crafted.

LOL !!!!!
I was going to make exactly the same comment, except I was going to add "where's the Pinaud Clubman" ?

Say Proinsias, what are the straights form L to R ? and do I detect an SE ?

....and you know I thought something was missing.......Brushes !

Best,
Andy.

Trumpers is always top dog for creams. Try the Lime if you haven't already.

My wife has told me never to wear the Brut again, apparently it smells of rotting melon. Of course I won't be heeding that advice but the Brut will last a lot longer than planned.]

The straights from L to R:

Mappin Brothers, 3 shilling, near wedge in Rambuttan scales:
The blue fox, 5/8 hollow. Don't know much about this, maybe German?
4/8 german number stamped Alexadrie Colonna. Possibly a Solingen, Ed. Wusthoff piece.
Last but not least there's 'The Palmer' from Larry Andro. It doesn't look too good - the blurry pic probably flatters it but it does shave well.

Those are some SE's you detect. I've got an oc micromatic and two 1912 patents, one Star and one Ever Ready.

I've not got carried away with brushes, yet. My Kent H8 does the bulk of the work and I've got a little Men-u boar when I want something scrubby. Will add to the collection at some point but bits of stone and bits of carbon steel are holding my attention these days.

I'll need to give the Trumpers lime a shot. My hopes were high when I bought the T&H west indian lime but it smells like the cheap, fizzy, sour sweets my daughter likes. The Trumpers Almond might well be my favourite cream, I've come close to tasting it on occasion.

Despite the bad press I've heard I do enjoy the Pecksniff's, it's the soap I've got, Oriental something. Nice scent and decent soap for what I paid, £4 in TK Maxx. Nothing outstanding but it does the job and I would give the other scents a whirl if I see it at that price again. The lather isn't quite as rich as say my palmolive and it does take a bit of elbow grease to get it going but if you see it cheap I'd give it a shot. Certainly not worth the ridiculous rrp.

I have tried them all and the Lime is my favorite. Go for it! Thumbsup

I got the Trumpers sampler pack from Trumpers and was shocked at the scents. Violet made me think of a disheveled old lady wearing clothes from 50 years ago. I shudder each time someone posts that Violet is their fav. :puke: Trumpers Sandlewood flat out smells like old man.
