Mike's Natural is one of my very favorite soaps and gets no where near enough press for how great it is.

Here are my favorite things about Mike's
1- Lather quality.  For my preferences it produces perfect lather.

2- Post shave. This soap has all the goodies in it that make the post shave perfect, it's tough to beat kokum butter, shea butter, avocado oil and lanolin.  Take a look.  The particular soap in the photo is Orange Cedar and Black Pepper.

3- Container size. The tin is sized perfectly for loading a larger brush.

4- Scent variety: While I can't claim the scents are perfect like the other attributes listed above they are in my opinion pleasant.  I have been using Mike's since it first came out on the forums back in 2012 (exact date unknown), and I find the scents to be like old friends, by that I mean I always find them pleasant, even if they are not the latest, most beautiful scent combinations around.  Mike makes a lot of solid scents in my opinion and I have tried every one of them.

Mike's also happened to be the soap I used in the original shiny lather video.

I can't possibly be the only fan of Mike's around here, any one else a fan?

Nathan, I think it has been such a staple for over five years that folks just take it for granted, really and I would have to agree with you that it is an excellent soap! Shy

I have only 1 "flavor" of Mike's Natural soap. I have the Cedarwood and Pine(something like that). Pleasant scent. Not overwhelming or particularly strongly scented, but definitely non-offensive and enjoyable to use.

The performance is where this soap shines. Easy to load and lather and always provides excellent slickness. Good stuff!

Mike's and Mystic Water are the first artisan soaps, scratch that, first SHAVE SOAPS that I tried back in 2013. To this day, they are both my two all time favorite soap makers. I believe Mike's was the first to use extra wide tins, correct? I have always loved the simple & straightforward, but very pleasant scents. And they perform for me as good as any that I have experienced.

I still love Mikes especially OC&BP and I know his Lime and his coconut are good but I have struggled to get along with some of his other scents.

All in all a great performing soap, easily one of the best. I agree with Celestino that it is often over looked because it is such a staple!

I love Mike's Bay Rum and his Vetiver is one of the best straight up vetiver scented soaps on the market, if you're a vetiver-head its a must have, followed up with Chatillon Lux La Quatrieme Ville amounts to a DFS indeed. Performance wise I place Mike's up with Mystic Water and Barrister & Mann - top tier soaps IMO.

I recently acquired some Mike's barbershop and I could not agree more, what a superb soap. And to top it off im not normally a huge barbershop fan, but I love this one, can't get enough.

Completely agree, Mike's is a great soap. It has all the ingredients I like to see in a shave soap. My only gripe would be availability. Every time I go to the sight, the one scent I really want to get a hold of, Lily of the Valley, is ALWAYS out of stock. Angry

Hey Jeff. You're right, stock is one challenge Mike has. Out of curiosity I just took a look at his website and Lily of the Valley is currently in stock. This is actually the only scent I haven't tried yet. I might have to pick one up for myself.

Mike's soaps are terrific. I own six and the Hungarian Lavender, Vetiver and Barbershop are some of my not only favorite scents, but my favorite soaps.
