I pulled out my bottle of Headslick shave cream today and gave it a whirl.

Let me tell you on a 27F morning that mentholated chill woke me up very quickly. As is the usual case when I use this product it quickly created a thick, slick, and super legit lather that provided an easy and effortless shave.

I always like having a bottle around for a few reasons.

1. It's available locally ( Walgreens and CVS I believe )
2. It simply works well
3. It's great for adding a bit of menthol to other shave products ( a little dab will do ya )
4. It's fairly scent free ( just a menthol scent really ) so on mornings I want simple it's there
5. It's about a $1 an ounce ... so it's fairly inexpensive.

Any of you ever used this ?

I don't think I've ever even heard of it, Gene. I'll have to take a look for it.

It's marketed for head shavers. They have a whole line of special razors, the shave cream, a shave lube, and blades.

The cream lathers pretty good though so I like to use it when I want some menthol kicks.

I remember that SOTD pic, thought it was a nice look, little different than the others, plus, good to see some of your 'work'.

To take this back on topic, I guess I never thought it really lathered well I never gave it a second look.

Gene,

I'll have to take a stroll across the street tomorrow to see if our local rite aid sells it.

I never would have considered it, just assuming it would've been like the other "goops in a can." I do like menthol....Hmmm

I've been tempted to try it for my head shaves but I end up using whatever I've prepared for my face. Still tempted, though....Confused

Here's a quick test lather I made. It doesn't explode like some other creams, but it has plenty of structure.
