I think Marty's elf made a visit to southern California and hijacked my paypal account this weekend. He has good taste though. I have 395 NOS blades on the way (Swedes and Bleue extra) as well as a vintage Rooney Beehive brush, Tabula Rasa cream, Vintage williams soap and I Coloniali Mango Oil shave soap. Someone needs to stop that little guy. Duh He did a lot of damage in a very short period of time.

I'll post photos when the haul arrives.

Hi Phil,

Heh, I saw the offer for the blades and for a half second thought about buying the Swedes myself. Seemed like a very good price for some tough to come by in quantity blades.

Back in the day when some vendors had em, a 5 pack sold for $4 with no real quantity discounts that I can remember. I used em myself for a long time till I found something that fit me a little better.

Congrats on the nice deal,

Martin

Hi Phil, I saw the tread where you bought the vintage Beehive and it looked like a real treasure. I thought about one of the Heritage brushes but never pulled the trigger but the Beehive was the gem. Thumbsup

Used my Classic Shaving gift certificate for what is probably my favorite scent for winter.

Between Gary and Bill, it looks like January is off to a great start. I'm waiting on a couple of items from e-Bay myself. I'll post pictures when they arrive.

Thank you, gentlemen...

Got my first straight. :spin:
It is 'Torrey Company Worcester Mass' and it has US with an arrow through it (military issue, maybe?)
There are some dark spots on the blade but not near the edge. So I don't think its anything to worry about.
