| 01-21-2012 03:56 PM I realize I am somewhat new to this forum, but when I posted the information on the Type A Schick, I figured that should post a web page from GeoCities that has been archived in the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. Since GeoCities has been taken down, these pages have been stored as a part of Internet history. Included are charts and timelines for Gillette and Schick Razors and additional articles on King C. Gillette and Col. Jacob Schick. Safety Razor and Shaving Collectables Enjoy! |
| 01-24-2012 03:56 PM Thanks for posting this great resource. It's the best I've seen so far on description/dating of the Schick Injectors. Freddy |
| 01-24-2012 05:01 PM With Matt's help (thanks Matt ) I have just made this a sticky or "Important Thread", as it's called here. That way, for checking razor dates and other useful information this thread will always be at or near the top of the Razors & Blades forum for easy reference.A big Thank You to GDCarrington for posting this. Here is a page on Wilkinson razors that I'll go to to check what I'm looking at on ebay. http://wilkinsonrazors.blogspot.com/ ![]() And everyone's favorite, Mr. Razor http://mr-razor.com/ Gary |
| 01-24-2012 06:44 PM Good reading guys. It gives me something to do while the wifey watches the 'State of the Union' speech for my country tonight. ~Bob~ 'Life is like a bus ride. By the time you find a seat, you've reached your stop.' -Author Unknown |

If you go to that page, then click on the Schick section you'll see essentially the same page as the renaldo site, it's just a different font. Something I just noticed. Gary |

He did not know that the Internet Wayback was archiving them. So he placed them in his blog as a safety copy. Some others have saved these pages to hard drive storage as well as a "just in case" measure. |

| 02-02-2012 09:37 AM Yes, as Gary noted, I archived it on my RenaldoDotUS server so it wouldn't be lost because many of the pages were disappearing with the Geocities kill-off. I've also added to it, adding more info and more pictures of the different Schick injector models that they didn't have in the original page. I also archived their Gillette Razor and Blade dating chart and updating it with current information as I learn of it. As I'm not allowed to post links here yet, it can be found via the main page of my domain. -Jody I hate it when Buddhists get all "emptier than thou". - John Fugelsang |

It's the site I use for identifying injectors! in fact, I don't know of any other site out there, except yours, to identify them. Here's a post that refers to an error I think I found on your site for the G series injector: http://damnfineshave.com/thread-my-new-g...1#pid44501 sending you a PM about something.. |
