| 08-23-2011 06:06 AM Greetings fellow shaving enthusiasts. I found out about this site from BullGoose. Just ordered some stuff from them, and found them to have an excellent selection, fair prices, with very speedy delivery. *end of commercial* Nice to be here. Looking forward to having some interesting times! Thank you for having us Newbies. American by birth, Southern by the grace of God |

| 08-23-2011 10:05 AM Hi Tib, Welcome and good to have you. It's kinda slow around here but you will find this to be the best group of people on a shaving forum. "Orange is the happiest color" ~ Frank Sinatra "Sometimes it's all in how you say something" ~ Brooke |
| 08-23-2011 10:12 AM Thanks, guys. btw: What's the deal with so many "Semogue Owners" on the site? All I have is a cheap Tweezerman, and so far, it's served me well. Is the Semogue better? (remember - I'm a newbie...) To Andy: "Woke up, FELL outa bed, dragged a comb across my head..." (fellow Beatles fan, too!) To PanchoVilla: Thanks for the welcome! To olblueyez: Love Sinatra!! One of a kind for all time! I think I'm gonna' like this board. American by birth, Southern by the grace of God |

More like a family business, where everyone has been there for ever. Linky If not familiar; boar brushes have more backbone than your typical badger. This allows the brush to 'load up' hard soaps more easily. It also does that exfoliating thingy. Just head over to the brushes section for more info. ~Bob~ 'Life is like a bus ride. | 08-23-2011 12:26 PM tib. Newbies are always welcome; they help to energize the site. I have about five Semogue brushes, as well as others, and love 'em all. They are well made and once the boar bristles begin to split, you will find the brush can be as soft on your face as the usually more expensive badger but with a good bit of support. There are many other brands (Omega, Vie-Long, Frank Shaving, New Forest and many others) and types of brushes (horsehair, badger, synthetic, and even blends of these) so have fun in the discovery. You'll find quite a bit of information about these here at DFS. Phil (Bullgoose) is the best! As Bob says, we're all convinced he lives at the post office. Actually, I'm convinced that he should be running the post office. ![]() Again, welcome to DFS and enjoy your stay. Freddy |
