01-16-2012 12:32 PM Well got the stuff for Christmas so I started experimenting. First shave was high on razor burn. I don't think everything was as wet as it needed to be. Second shave (which I have some pics of) went far better I just needed some work in a few places after I made 3 passes. Had a tiny nick the second shave but it wasn't even a drop of blood. Felt very itchy for about 10 minutes after shave which is unusual but the shave itself was mostly pleasant and close. I also found some of my dad's old stuff (mug, witch hazel, and soap) which I also took pictures of. If anyone wants to see the picture set I'll upload it.

01-16-2012 07:27 PM Hey Elm, really decent. Freddy
01-16-2012 08:01 PM The neck is more often than not the toughest part to shave. BTW, how old is that Klar soap? I would hang on to it for now before doing anything until you really know what you have there. (i.e. it could fetch a pretty penny on ebay) Gary
01-16-2012 08:06 PM I agree Freddy, the neck is usually the most troublesome when learning. As for the Razor Burn, I think when people say "No Pressure on the Razor" our minds seem to accept that as something we can understand with great ease, but when it comes time to shave the brain switches into Auto-Pilot and we are not aware that we are applying pressure as we would with a cartridge razor. Kinda like keep your eye on the ball, easier said than done. "Orange is the happiest color" ~ Frank Sinatra "Sometimes it's all in how you say something" ~ Brooke
01-17-2012 12:47 AM Let that razor "float like a butterfly so it doesn't sting like a bee" (with apologies to Cassius Ali). Snazzy robe BTW. Max: Hey, piece of pie. Curnow: Cake, piece of cake. Max: Easy as cake, yes? Curnow: Pie, easy as pie.
