Hi Kevin, I've got the Hercules as well, I meant of the ones displayed - Hercules is really nice, as is Uncle Walter and BFF.  I'm thinking about getting Farink and event he weird wizard one.  Reading the scent profile of the wizard one I don't think I'd like it but I didn't think I'd like Hercules either and I find it really nice so maybe ...

Yes sir- you were the enabler for me getting Herc Marko! I am tempted by some of the other options too but have enough soap to last a lifetime. Considering a PIF of some sort in fact to clear up some room Smile

Just one lifetime?Smile

I know what you mean, I'm taking a break for a while and just enjoy what I have. I recall our Hercules discussion, I'm glad you like it.   There are just so many excellent and tempting offerings out there.   I was following a comment thread on the Leisure Guy's daily shave blog and they were going on about Otoko Organics soap.  I've never tried it but it seems that some people were having problems getting a decent lather out of it.  One guy described how he'd had inferior lathers out of the tub until he was halfway through it and then it started to improve and he hoped the second tub he'd bought wasn't the same.  I admire his perseverance but I don't think I would have stuck to it that long given the wealth of wonderful soaps I have that I know perform beautifully.  We don't have an unlimited number of shaves left on the odometer, some have more and some less but the fact is, even if you're a young man just starting out, Life is too short for bad shaves.  Or bad coffee.

btw, I used Tabula Rasa Steampunk followed by Krampert's Frostbite this morning.  Very nice shave indeed.

I just love those Red Tips. They really do give a great shave. It's between that and my Merkur slant that I would take if I could only take one razor.

I am waiting for a Seygus Razor from Spain. It seem like a well made razor and the reviews have been very positive.

Was waiting for my Blackbird, but a small production inconvenience involving the long handles is going to set that back a couple of weeks.

Happy New Year to the DFS family!

Beautiful razor, congratulations. On my vintage days, that was a regular on my rotation. Enjoy it!
