I enjoy using my Merkur Bakelite DE razor from time to time and when I saw this NOS set on e-Bay I couldn't resist trying an open comb Bakelite DE. I'll be giving it a go tomorrow, after I clean it.

According to the Waits Safety Razor Compendium, these were produced in the 1940's and are plastic (Bakelite is not specified). Some had metal heads while others, like this, were all plastic except for the screw mount.

An United Airlines amenity kit. Not sure if it had more in it when new or not. It has a very clean Shick L model in it, a tube of Shaving cream, a tube of hair gel, a bottle of After shave, some blades for the razor and a comb. I think it will clean up nice.

I can not find anything on the 8:15 aftershave but it smells nice.

The AA kit is neat, I wonder if it was for first class or just an add on for a few bucks.

Will do Kevin. Yesterday, Pam couldn't bring up the pictures, though I could (though not now). :saywha?:

Fuzzy, that kit looks great. From the time when flying was special and not cattle car travel. Smile

$4.99 at Walgreens. I've been wanting to try it so it came home with me.

After a long delay because some leftcoaster bought the last one.
My new Becker Scuttle arrived. It is a little larger than I was expecting,
but it has a handle which the dip warmer I m using now does not have.
I love this finish. Thumbsup

Gave my Step Father some P160 for his Birthday at Thanksgiving. Of course my Mother is talking about stealing it from him so I thought she would like some for X-mas. Only problem is she doesn't have a brush. Karen likes the 26/Finest I bought from Anthony over at www.Penworks.us and so this Butterscotch Resin 26mm Finest with the longish handle caught my eye. Should be a perfect partner for the Italian paste. The picture is a little distorted, the shape is very symmetrical, I think that is called "Barrel distortion" when the lens in a cheap/small camera causes unwanted bending.

Now I have Anthony making a Pink one just like it with a matching Mach III for Karen. Duh
