12-11-2011 09:47 PM Well, my youngest daughter officially became a shaver today. She wanted to take it all the way with using a brush and everything. Although my wife and oldest daughter both use DE's, neither have taken to using a brush. My wife tried it for a while, but gave up on it. Too fussy for her, she's a shower shaver and found it too awkward to use the brush and mug in running water. My oldest daughter never expressed any interest, and I haven't pushed the issue letting her make her own choice. But, when my youngest came to us, she said she wanted to use a brush like Dad. So, I set her up with a vintage Ever Ready pure badger brush, coffee mug to soak it in, and a deep cereal bowl to whip the lather up in. La Toja Sensitive shaving cream, a flare tip Super Speed, and Lord Classic blade completed the set up. She did great and took to it real quick. So, now I'll be on the hunt for another Lady Gillette....

12-12-2011 12:00 PM congrats! my lady thinks its girly that we spend so much time with shaving, lol.
12-16-2011 11:31 AM Cool. My wife smears some kind of cream/soap on her legs in the shower and uses some kind of pink multi-blade razor she got at Walgreens. I tried to show her the way and she just said "leave me alone". Never argue with a woman with a pink razor in her hand. Johnny "Younger than some, older than most" - Wet shaving for 50+ years.
12-16-2011 11:41 AM I've never tried to convert my wife to wet shaving. I can barely schedule time in the bathroom as it is, and if I introduced another 10 - 15 minute ritual to her I'd be getting ready in the morning with a plastic basin and the hose pipe in the backyard.
