I'm also a huge fan of the Latha line and also got started on it with LPC. I can't really say enough good things about Barrister & Mann in general. I've gotten at least one B&M product with every order I've placed from Maggard's since the first one and have yet to be disappointed.
I only have LPC and Oceana right now, but will be adding more soon.

Sounds like a deal.  I'm actually thinking of traveling with one of these when I go into the mountains this month to see how it does with harder water than mine.

SCShaver I received and shaved with the Barrister_N_Mann Lavanda. I won't go into the performance beyond confirming that it too is great.

The scent is wonderful and likely my favorite lavender to date. I love camphorous scents such as eucalyptus, tea tree etc. This has a more resinous scent, similar to those scents.

Reminds me of a number of lavender plants outside our house when I lived in SoCal. I would occasionally snap the stem of a bud and you would get that aromatic smell. More resinous than floral. This captures that exactly.

Very well done and a great example of a lavender soap.

Enjoy!

Sounds awesome, thanks so much for the update. Guess I need to add that one as well eventually.

One step at a time...my wife regularly uses a brush and my soaps, but doesn't use a DE - at least not to my knowledge - on a regular basis.

Lavanda: the only lavender scent I've tried thus far that actually smells like lavender and not lavatory cleaner. If you like real lanvender, this is for you. It is not the perfumery smell that many substitute in because it's less costly. (N.B. I am a lavender snob.)
Original: is the only Barbershop scent I can use without getting dermatitis--no bergamot so no citrus allergy. I've smelled some others but they cause atopic dermatitis when I use them. This one doesn't.
I won't try the others because of allergy to citrus and/or conifer (pine, cedar, juniper, etc.)
I am also glad this soap base has no lanolin so that I can use SOMETHING from Barrister & Mann. Please never discontinue this.

No plans to do so. Smile Are you allergic to sandalwood too?

Fair enough. It doesn't smell all that much like sandalwood, though, really. It's a fruitier, amber-ier take on it.

I would agree- I just received a container and have not shaved with it yet but to the nose it is fruit forward. The black currant forward with a base of sandalwood. Looking forward to checking out the scent in use but definitely not traditional sandalwood from my experience.

That has been my experience as well. It doesn't smell like any Sandalwood soap orncream I've used before. I look forward to giving it a go tonight for the first time as well.

Now if only there was a matching splash Wink
