Is the addition of jojoba oil another tweak of the Glissant base?

No, it's a relic of the original Roam formulation, where we used a small quantity of jojoba oil to serve as a diluent for the blend of cade oil and birch tar. Cade oil is kind of tough to work with otherwise.

Will, I loved your reddit thread on the Roam limited release - I detect a heavy undercurrent of Caveat Emptor Smile I think prospective buyers should heed your words advising finding a sample before committing to purchase. I like the soap and Kyovu and have two tubs the second one acquired in the end of stock clearance sale but I will be the first to admit that this isn't a wear it everyday to die for fragrance. Its probably the most "acquired taste" fragrance B&M has in its line up. I think it would be safe to say that it is "critically acclaimed" but, as Mr. Morrison said, people are strange, when you're a stranger...Smile

I like smelling nice, most of the times. But always comes a time I want to smell like a man who has rolled up his sleeves and actually gotten down and dirty and done sumpin. When like this, I don't care what anyone thinks about how I smell. That's when I reach for something like Quorum.....Roam.....smoke from the pig smoker.....oil & grease........you get the idea. Yea, it's a special time/place scent, but oh what a manly scent it is. And it's coming in the killer glissant base to boot. My hat off to B&M for doing this one time, very special deal.

Hey, some of my favorite scents are those down-and-dirty, not even trying to be polite, sort of things. There's a lot to be said for that, and they certainly have their moments!

Barrister_N_Mann , do you think that your Fougère Classique Tonique AS could match/complement a soap with this scent profile: top notes of sweet fennel, rosemary, bergamot; heart notes of lavender and geranium; base notes of cedarwood, cedar moss, amyris, and coumarin?
(the scent profile is taken from a soon-to-be-released soap; I don't know if one is allowed to name other artisans in a thread dedicated to a specific one).

I know whose soap that is regardless. Smile Having smelled it for myself, I think that the soap in question is a bit lighter and cooler than Fougère Classique and I would probably recommend English Fern above everything else, but yes, my own design would probably compliment it pretty well. Smile

Fougere Classique is a great scent. One of my favorite parts about the aftershave is that it matches with many soaps and fragrances since it comes across as both purple and green (if that makes any sense) in scent profile.
