12-12-2011 01:55 AM A friend of mine might be going out there in a few months to visit some friends and asked if I wanted him to grab anything for me. Is there anything that could probably be found there that's relatively hard to find back here in America?
12-12-2011 06:48 AM With the internet, there's not much that's relatively hard to get, anymore. Check out this website: Barbershop Classics The Dutch Shaving Shop I'm not totally sure if there's anything specifically Dutch, although I'm sure there is. The best thing is that he'd be able to save you shipping.

12-12-2011 04:11 PM When I was in Amsterdam a couple of years ago, I came home with a lot of stuff that is usually only available on web sites here. Things like Der Verguld Hand shave sticks, creams, and soaps, Gillette shaving cream, Palmolive shaving cream, Williams shaving cream. And those are only the things I remember. I believe there were one or two others, perhaps blades. Freddy

12-13-2011 10:52 AM Goodmorning to you shaving friends! Yes, we are in Holland but like Italy very much. As for typical Dutch products: We have De Vergulde Hand shaving soaps, that I think are cheaper online than in stores and there are some that think highly of soaps from a certain drugstorechain, called Kruidvat. It must be that this soap is relatively good for it's money as it is cheap. It comes in the same sort of jar as De Vergulde Hand. Besides that, I wouldn't really know what typical Dutch shaving stuff we have. There are lots of other things to buy in Amsterdam, but mostly very hard to take with you on a plane.... If your friend would visit Zwolle, where we live, we could help you on saving some shipping costs. As I'm sure you're aware, that airport is (or was, at that time) the hub for military international flights. After being away in Honduras for 4 months, I flew in to Atlanta from Panama. My wife was to meet me at the airport, and then we'd fly out back to Maryland to visit family (we were living in Phoenix, AZ at the time, so she flew in from there). Our flight was late, and then after going through customs, we were over an hour behind, and never showed up on the baggage claim, which was where I was to meet her. Not having any way to really get in touch with each other (this was before cellphones became big, etc...1996), I was heading to baggage like we planned, but she was on her way to the gate I came in (or something like that). I was on the train with a buddy of mine from the trip, and I just happen to look out of the window and there she is. I jump up and yell out her name, just as the doors go "bing-bong" and I dash out just as they're closing. She sees me and we embrace, as the train is pulling away and people are clapping and hollering. Like a scene from a movie or something...LOL. That is a wonderful story! Especially at this time of year. Thank you for sharing it! The Store We help you care for your skin as much as it cares for you - Naturally
